3. Key Eligibility Requirements

The basic eligibility criteria for the December 2025 cycle remain consistent:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Master's Degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) or be in the final year/semester.

    • Minimum Marks: 55% for General/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates, and 50% for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates.

    • 4-year Bachelor's degree holders (with a minimum 75% aggregate) are also eligible for JRF & Ph.D. admission.

  • Age Limit for JRF (as on 01.12.2025):

    • Maximum 30 years for General Category.

    • Relaxation of up to 5 years is provided for OBC (NCL), SC, ST, PwD, and Female candidates.

  • Age Limit for Assistant Professor: No upper age limit applies.
